TUMUT, TUMBARUMBA & WAGGA GOLD CUP

From AUD $1,250.00
  • Duration: 4 Days (approx.)
  • Location: Wagga Wagga
Exceptional natural beauty and a rich heritage are the defining characteristics of the Tumut region. The Kosciuszko National Park and Bago State Forests cradle the fertile valley. The picturesque township of Tumut is framed by very old plantings of poplars, elms, willows and claret ash which provide a brilliant blaze of autumn colour. Although our tour is just after the Festival of the Falling Leaf, the town and district will still be an absolute picture. Tumut has an interesting gold history with rushes dating back to 1852 and these days much prosperity derives from the booming timber industry. The town sits at the north-western gateway to the Kosciuszko National Park and many interesting towns and villages are located in the surrounding hills.

One of the highlights of the tour will be the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup, one of regional NSW’s premier events. It attracts quality race fields and racing enthusiasts from around the country. It has become a glamorous event with a prestigious Fashions in the Field competition and our group will undoubtedly add grace, style, colour and excitement to the day! Wagga Wagga is a vibrant regional centre but despite its growth, it has retained its country hospitality. With this in mind, Armaguard have been contracted to help transport excess cash at the conclusion of the races!!
