BRIGHT AUTUMN FESTIVAL

From AUD $2,295.00
  • Duration: 7 Days (approx.)
  • Location: Bright

The Victorian High Country is an area of stunning beauty year round, with the rugged mountain grandeur overlooking some of the prettiest valleys imaginable.   Autumn sees this beauty highlighted with a brilliant blaze of colour centred around the township of Bright.   The inspirational scenery is only one of the attractions, it also boasts a fascinating history dating back to the Gold Rush days, including our most notorious bushrangers.   Our tour sees us based in Bright for 4 nights at the Colonial Inn Motel (Ph:  03 5755 1633), which features tranquil surroundings and outstanding country hospitality and allows us time to properly explore and appreciate this unique area.

On our journey to Bright we travel through Canberra and Cooma with our first night at Rydges Horizons, Jindabyne (02 6456 2562) on the edge of the lake.  We will then travel along the spectacular Alpine Way, through the Kosciuszko National Park, pausing at Thredbo and then passing through Dead Horse Gap, Tom Groggin Station and Khancoban.

Our final night is at the 4 star Mercure Wagga Wagga (02 6921 6444) which allows a more relaxed journey from Bright and some time to explore one of our premier regional cities. As the gateway to the Riverina, Wagga has developed into a vibrant centre with the Charles Sturt University and the Army & RAAF Bases adding extra dimensions to the agricultural base.
