The feature of this 2 day tour is our stay at the refurbished Carrington Hotel in the heart of Katoomba. A landmark in the Blue Mountains since 1880, the hotel boasts a delightful ambience which we will have time to appreciate, perhaps reviving fond memories of its past! Included in our stay will be a 3 course dinner and full cooked breakfast in the elegant dining room.
Although each season has its own special charm, mountain hospitality in winter is outstanding. The winter Yulefest in Australia started in the Blue Mountains and the tradition continues to attract thousands of visitors each year. Crisp mountain air, spectacular scenery and roaring log fires combine to make July a great time to be in the mountains. We will spend a leisurely 2 days taking in many of the mountain’s highlights as well as having time to explore the villages of Leura and Katoomba. We may even have that white Christmas!
