PERTH AND SOUTH WEST AUSTRALIA
- Duration: 13 Days (approx.)
- Location: PERTH
Perth, Western Australia’s beautiful capital offers a cosmopolitan yet casual city lifestyle. The majestic Swan River meanders through the heart of the city to meet the ocean on one of the world’s most stunning coastlines. The sunset coast is famous for its spectacular Indian Ocean sunsets and pristine white sands of beaches such as Cottesloe, Scarborough and Sorrento along with some amazing marinas. The Mediterranean climate has allowed the residents of Perth to develop an outdoor culture and truly appreciate the physical beauty of their city. Much of our time here will be spent on or near the water.
Fremantle offers a contrast to the vibrant modern city with its proud maritime history and many heritage buildings – over 150 are classified by the National Trust.
Spring in WA is wildflower season and our journey through the southwest will showcase many areas that explode in a symphony of colour. Another compelling reason to visit in Spring is the migration of the humpback whale and they are often sighted in King George Sound at Albany or Geographe Bay at Busselton. The forests of the southwest are breathtaking and the Valley of the Giants tree top walk will be yet another highlight along with the Southern Ocean.
