Stunning, spectacular and breathtaking are words that are often overused but somehow they seem inadequate to describe the incredible natural beauty of New Zealand. The two Islands of New Zealand offer an amazing diversity of scenery, from world heritage listed alpine national parks to the Bay of Islands. There are unforgettable highlights on every day of our 18 day tour which has been designed to showcase the best of New Zealand at a pace which will allow us to truly appreciate it. The inclusion of free time in the itinerary will allow those with the energy to pursue various options while others may prefer to sit back and reflect on where we have been.
The tour will be fully escorted from Sydney and we are using a local travel company, a highly regarded operator with a great reputation with groups from Australia. Our staff and coach driver will ensure an enthusiastic and personal approach that will make your tour truly memorable, taking us to the most beautiful destinations New Zealand has to offer. We will enjoy Christchurch, Mount Cook, Dunedin, the Southern Alps on the TranzAlpine Scenic Train, Te Anau, Milford Sound luncheon cruise, Queenstown, Franz Josef Glacier, the Canterbury Plains and returning to Christchurch for 2 nights. Then, after taking the Interislander Ferry to Wellington, we continue on to places that are “off the beaten track” as well as the icons such as Rotorua, Waitomo Caves, the Bay of Islands and Auckland.
Apart from sensational sightseeing we will participate in a traditional Hangi (feast & cultural entertainment) and take the cruise to Cape Brett and pass through the “Hole in the Rock”.
