Brisbane is a fabulous city to visit, our northern capital has certainly come of age and is now promoted as Australia’s newest world city. It is a city of contrasts, dynamic yet laid back, with an ultra modern skyline interspersed with some fine heritage buildings. The Brisbane River meanders through the city and is framed by many beautiful parks and gardens. The city has become incredibly diverse in recent years and has developed an air of culture and sophistication which we will explore during our stay.
Nestled on the border of Queensland and New South Wales, Goondiwindi is a picturesque town know for its rich history. Often referred to as the “Gateway to the West”, it boasts a vibrant heritage trail, showcasing landmarks like the “Once Upon a Time Sculpture” created by local artist Andy Scott. Shaped like a large open book and features intricate metalwork that tells stories of the town’s culture, history and connection to
the land.
Moree is a fascinating town in the Gwydir Valley in the far North West of NSW famous for the rejuvenating effects of the mineral rich artesian thermal springs. Its black alluvial soils support a thriving agriculture sector - cotton, wheat, beef cattle, olive groves, vineyards and pecans are all important to the local economy and the town boasts some beautifully restored heritage buildings.
Tamworth is a large prosperous regional city in the heart of the New England region. It has built a great reputation for its hospitality, especially during the Country Music Festival held in January each year. It is also home to the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre and has one of the busiest saleyards in the country. It has a rich rural history as the headquarters of the Australian Agricultural Company from the 1830’s.
Parkes is a town that perfectly blends history, innovation, and culture. Known worldwide for the iconic Dish, a radio telescope that played a crucial role in the Apollo moon landing, Parkes is a hub of scientific achievement. It’s also home to vibrant public art, including stunning silo murals and the Parkes Water Tower Art.
Bathurst is Australia’s oldest inland settlement and boasts a proud legacy of gracious old buildings and beautiful parks and gardens. Today Bathurst is a thriving city at the centre of one of Australia’s fastest growing

Fruit and vegetable production is also important to the local economy but in recent years Bathurst has established itself as a centre of excellence in education.
