GRIFFITH IN SPRING

From AUD $1,990.00
  • Duration: 6 Days (approx.)
  • Location: Griffith

Griffith is a vibrant, cosmopolitan oasis – the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area is one of the most diverse and productive agricultural regions in Australia and contributes over $5 billion each year to the National economy. The city is set against a backdrop of lush vineyards, thriving orchards and golden fields. Designed by Walter Burley Griffin in the early 20th century as part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme, European migrants settled in the region after WW1 and WW2 and helped build a distinctive wine & food culture. With that wonderful Italian heritage the
residents of Griffith are passionate about celebrations.

Griffith Spring Fest is an annual celebration of the arrival of spring in the heart of the area. The event showcases the best of Griffith’s local produce, arts, and community spirit, offering visitorsa fun and family-friendly atmosphere to celebrate the season.

Wagga Wagga is definitely a city of contrasts, billed as a cultural oasis, it has many fine galleries, several theatre companies, lots of travelling exhibitions and concerts and the university, all
contributing to enrich the fabric of the community.

Good old fashioned country hospitality and picturesque rural scenery make Young a great place to visit. Apart from being Australia’s cherry capital, there is a diverse range of agriculture and
horticulture and a rich gold history evident in its heritage streetscape.
