SOUTH WEST ROCKS & GLOUCESTER

South West Rocks is a delightful coastal village at the mouth of the Macleay River surrounded by rich farmlands and magnificent coastal scenery. It is the perfect base to explore the north coast of NSW. Our first 2 nights accommodation is at the Rockpool Motor Inn (02 6566 7755), a lovely 4 star motel with excellent facilities. It is located a short walk from the beaches and shopping centre and has won numerous Tourism Awards.

Our final 2 nights will be at Gloucester Country Lodge (Ph: 02 6558 1812). Situated on the edge of the pristine wilderness that is the magnificent world heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park lies the lush farming district of Gloucester.  Barrington Tops is a 25 kilometre long plateau extending between a series of extinct volcanic peaks in the Mount Royal Range.  In the river valleys of the lowlands weathered basalt from the mountains forms rich alluvial soils.
