HUNTER VALLEY WINTER YULEFEST

This tour has been designed to allow a leisurely pace to fully appreciate the relaxed ambience of the spectacular Hunter Valley Gardens in the heart of the Pokolbin wine district.  Nestled at the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges, the gardens span over 25 hectares and are offering Snow Time in the Garden during the Yulefest season.  We will get to see an icy wonderland with a giant ice skating rink, 25 metre ice toboggan and an opportunity to build a snow man!

Our motel is the Mercure Resort, a delightful 4 ½ star motel adjoining the gardens and vineyards in the heart of Pokolbin, offering a truly luxurious standard of accommodation.  Apart from its beautiful setting it provides the perfect base to explore this premier destinations.  Along with the opportunity to sample award winning wines, the Hunter has a wide range of attractions,  spectacular scenery and rich heritage.

Our journey up to the Hunter takes us off the expressway and we travel through Peats Ridge and Kulnurra on our way across the western side of the Wattagan Ranges. This route takes us  through the villages of Laguna and Wollombi on the old convict trail before we enter Pokolbin from Mt View.
